I got pulled over in December for speeding in the snow and still have not received my ticket. Am I safe?

I had been drinking but was under the legal limit. The trooper told me that the public defender would send me a ticket by mail. I have not received a ticket, and I've checked with the courts online and I have no court date. What's the statue of limitations for something like this? The infraction occurred in the state of Washington, King County.
