The only way Dirk would opt out to be a free agent, is to play for a legit contender and New York will never be a legit contender in the next 5 years. Joe Johnson and Ruday gay start at different position SG and SF so that could work, but that isnt all they would need. David Lee (there best player last year) is a free agent and I gurantee he is gone next year
