Were the founding forefathers of U.S.A Deists? Christian? Atheists?

I have heard multiple sides of this argument. I honestly don't really care what the answer is, I just want to know some real evidence of either argument. PLEASE quote a source in your answer, and do not leave bigot-y/ignorant/arrogant answers. This goes to everyone, even the atheists.
